It's clear, but I'd say anyhow "Можно подождать...", "Можно было бы подождать...". I understand it's conditional here but for me "Можно подождать" sounds more natural, though if I knew the full context it would've been more clear

"C тем же успехом" is used when you compare 2 things, actions.
For example, I went to Bulgaria on vacation and my friend tells me: "За такие деньги ты с тем же успехом могла бы съездить на Майорку".

There's a comparison in my example too, "instead of sending them all separately, we might as well send them all at once."

And it is pronounced ironically, showing some misfortune. In my example, meaning that I spent a lot of money in vain.

In your example, it's just an option, you can do both.

It shows that something was done in vain.
