If you want to use the plural DREAMS, you need to use NOT: ... and she HASN'T had DREAMS like that ever since. The reason for this is that NEVER negates in a way that means NOT EVEN ONE. So in this sentence, for example, it implies NOT ONE MORE DREAM.
