По-моему, если перечисление начинается с сущ. с артиклем A, то нужно is. То есть, There is a white board, ... There's a white board...

We have a whiteboard, a marker and a wiper/eraser in our classroom.
И никаких заморочек с is/are. 😁

👍 Ничего страшного. Как я, например, могу и по невнимательности ошибку сделать, которая учащемуся первого года обучения зазорно делать.
А в данном случае неплохо бы мнение Uly узнать.

Пишут, "In speaking and in some informal writing, we use there’s even when it refers to more than one. This use could be considered incorrect in formal writing or in an examination:

Но про из перед однозначно множественным числом, это не такое старое явление. А вот в данном случае чисто христоматийный пример, который я в своё время объясняла так: не важно, в каком числе второе, третье и т д существительное, смотрите на первое по порядку - его число и опрелеляет выбор и is или are.
