Ilya, when I saw your translation, my first thought was "Why do Russians love the expression GO IN FOR so much???" Nobody uses it. And if they do, it's people in their 90's talking about their days playing sports in school (back in the 30's and 40's!) Then I thought, "in all fairness, I'll look online and see if anyone actually says "goes in for crossfit" and I found ONE site - WRITTEN BY A RUSSIAN!!! :)
👍
;)))) because we have been taught to use it;) many of us still use "it' a pity" which is considered to be obsolete as well.
"it's a pity"
Actually, we say "that's a pity" and "what a pity" all the time.
Guys, this expression is like fungus... never goes away 😀
I watched this video
Татьяна, хорошо, не буду ;)
Olga, which one?
))) Yet, I feel like I'm being given some the antifungal agent on here.
the не читать, мне пора спать)
I don't agree with that woman. She's trying to be funny and she is unbearable to watch. But more importantly, what she saying isn't true. Just yesterday I went into the elevator with my dog, and a young man said "Pity we don't have a dog park here."
Ilya, "to go in for..." :)
Guys, oh my god, that lady sounds and looks like she has some mental issues. Look at the board! "OldE school"!? What the hell? She seriously tells people to use "that sucks/blows" instead of "what a pity"!
What a pity, guys!
She makes me sick.
Well, if she's a teacher for a bunch of rednecks, then "it blows" perfecyly fits 😁
Absolutely. She's full of shit.
