Uly, right, I know, but I also met "well received" in correspondence too, may be it is not correct but people use it. For example, "well received with thanks". Also "well noted" - принятно к сведению.
Elena, it's true that they used to sometimes use something like that in the 50's, but it was a calque from French "j'ai bien reçu..." All I can say is that that usage today would sound extremely weird, if not downright incorrect, to the English ear:
