Feel SICK?
Feel SICK?
I'm feeling thick as we speak.)))
Hahahahaha
“If the kid who sits beside you in math class sees your test grade and calls you thick, it's not a compliment: she means you're not very smart.”
If someone thinks they look fat, they say I feel fat, not thick. A person who feels thick, feels (1) stupid, after making a silly mistake or taking a long time to understand something, or (2) feels extremely sexy because of sexy clothes or a hot body (urban slang). 😉
Not too thin but not thick. -
Shut up, you thick bastard! -
My skull's too thick for them to hurt me.
I felt really thick this morning.
I felt really thick this morning.
I felt really thick this morning.
you thick bastard = you stupid bastard
I googled the phrase “ I feel thick this morning” and only got one hit:
Slavik, in the clip from Friends, everybody laughed because Phoebe used THICK instead of FAT, which sounded like she was calling herself STUPID 😉
Dan Nov, what was the context?
friends 4 season 12 episode
05:30
Ah, so that’s the humor... Phoebe said THICK when she should have said FAT. And it’s funny that she felt stupid that morning because she’s ALWAYS stupid. The fact is that THICK means FAT in reference to things (like the skull in your example), and STUPID in reference to people.
Okay, I get it, I was wrong. Thank you for the explanation.
Slavik, we’re all here to learn 😉 What makes languages so complicated is the fact that words can have sooooo many meanings depending on the context, the situation, the year, etc.
Улий, here:
You can listen from 7:05. It’s an interview with a drummer of Skillet. It seems to me I got the structure of the sentence wrong. It would be great if you could explain it.
No, I heard the same thing, but I have no idea what she means. Sometimes when people speak live like that, they don’t have time to structure their thoughts perfectly and say random things. I think this is one such case.
Thank you! Now I don’t feel so thick 😄
Hahahaha, perfect use of thick! 😉
