Как перевести? (ru-en)

А я никому не позволяю поступать со мной ТАК! Я думала, что что-то значу для тебя!

Uly, I think "I'm not about/going to ..." is more of я никому не ПОЗВОЛЮ (future perfective )". In case you have не ПОЗВОЛЯЮ (present imperfective), would it be better to say something along the lines of "I never let... "? 🤔

I know you say позволяю in Russian, but in English, in this context, the future makes it more categorical - even while it’s happening: [Father]: Young woman, go straight upstairs and put on a DECENT skirt - you’re not leaving this house dressed like a hooker! [Daughter] Mind your own business and get out of my way - I’m going out! [Father] I’m not going to let you or anybody else talk to me that way in my own house. March your ass right back upstairs - now you’re not going ANYWHERE for two weeks!

Furthermore, NOT ABOUT TO is tantamount to “I’m not stupid enough to...” [Tatiana:] Who’s that guy you were talking to in the café. [Olga:] His name is Vadim - we just started talking and ended up having a full-on conversation. He was nice. [Tatiana]: You should’ve given him your number! [Olga]: I’m not about to give my number to a perfect stranger. He could be a serial killer for all we know.

=you must be crazy if you think I’d give my number to a complete stranger - I’m not that stupid.
