Еще как американцы, так и бриты (да и все англоязычные люди) говорят GONNA вместо GOING TO.

Американцы тоже говорят has eaten too much если это является заявлением (как и бриты).

Американцы тоже говорят COULD HEAR/SEE/SMELL при тех же обстоятельствах, при которых бриты так говорят.

That IS interesting considering that North American English is more universal. My brother and I were talking the other day about how ALL British singers put on an American accent when they record songs. It was funny because we were watching a documentary about OASIS and they have such a broad accent when they speak, but as soon as they step in front of the microphone, they’re American)))
