Grumbler, I don't think your translation conveys the intended message to any degree. On a lexical level, yes, you applied possible meanings to all the Russian words, but idiomatically the phrase as a whole doesn't go anywhere. If I wasn't able to read Russian, I would have no idea what you meant.
