DD: They'll come FOR us
приедут за нами
they'll come after us/ they'll pick us up
DD: They'll come FOR us
Native speakers never use "after" in that case?
I mean, that may be incorrect, but I'v heard that several times (I leave in TX for 2 years)
It's just for me to know. Is it grammatically incorrect or it changes the meaning?
It changes the meaning. To go/come AFTER someone means that they did something to you when do you want to get revenge/to hurt them. To come FOR someone means to pick them up.
*I’ve been living in Texas for two years.
Thank you
