I wanted to say:

but it seemed to me that "to look for" is better for physical things.

я сам не знаю толком различий в данном случае. но на уровне интуиции применительно к вещам нематериальным seeking мне нравится больше, чем looking for, и гораздо больше, чем searching for.

Мне тоже seeking интуитивно больше понравилось.)
