Thank you. "meeting such a monster ' is ok?
Excellent. You're a fast learner 👍🏼
With such a teacher💪
I like "encounter" better because it implies a kind of unexpectedness, doesn't it? Meeting" sounds like a little bit "arranged" or " agreed upon".
I agree that "to encounter" is better but "to meet" doesn't necessarily mean that something is planned
Thank you, Elena)
The same to you, Uly)
MEETING SUCH A MONSTER implies that you're talking from experience about meeting a reprehensible person in a social situation like a party or a bar: A: Isn't your ex-husband from Santa Monica? Maybe I'll run into him somewhere while I'm there on vacation and finally meet him. B: Bite your tongue! I wouldn't wish meeting that monster on my worst enemy.
Thank you for it!
Bite your tongue - тяпун тебе на язык. Отличное ввражение)
Хахаха
So an ENCOUNTER WITH A MONSTER would be an actual monster in a forest, for example.
Now i got the difference between the both...
Between the TWO
I'm glad. We learned a lot today.
Aha;)))
