I think other languages are dying because their speakers are abandoning them for the language they find more useful. English is merely out-competing other languages for speakers/adherents and expressions of popular culture. Around the world English is growing as a second language very quickly. And possibly something slightly more similar to American English is more commonly spoken around the world.

More intelligent and more evil. You always hear scientists and monsters speak with British accents. But it’s also more servile - butlers and maids, etc.
