Alexander, examples of what exactly? “In a bit”? Yes, there’re plenty. Only they don’t fit in your sentence. Actually Google search shows zero results of “in a bit of the game”. People just don’t speak like that.
The interpretation of Alexander's translation (which is excellent) depends on how you stress the word BIT. If you say "in a bìt of the gáme," then it's corresponds to the Russian sentence. If you say "in a bít of the game" then it means that he only took part in a small part of it.
All the translations are good, actually.

Thank you, Uly! It totally makes sense now.
Alexander's translation sounded odd to Olga because normally you name the game. But that doesn't exclude a situation where everyone knows what game is being referred to. For instance, when we were in our twenties, my friends and I would go out to bars and play a game where we would all pick a color, and by the end of the night we would have to have danced with a girl dressed in that color. We called it simply "the game." Conceivably, someone could have said "Last night, we took Alex out with us. He took part in a bit of the game, and then decided it was too sexist and stopped."
Or, if the game was just one of the things going on: "When we got to the party, some of the people were swimming, some were paying a board game, and some were gathered in the living room talking. I took part in a bit of the game and then went to the living room to talk to Olga, who I hadn't seen in a long time." (Here he means "the board game I just mentioned")
Улий, спасибо большое!)
Да не за что))
Thanks, Uly, for your explanation!🌝
You’re welcome 😉
