Yeah. ACCUMULATE isn’t bad, but it’s a bit formal. In this context, we normally use RACK UP when it’s about accumulating good things like points, credits, interest, etc.

To me, "rack up..." is like копить/набирать. It's about taking something.
But начислять is about giving something.
