Elena, I think that could be any number of cases besides the instrumental, no?
полицейский помогал женщине, подавившейся... дети женщины, подавившейся... футболка на зенщине, подавившейся... рядом с женщиной, подавившейся...
Oh, Uly, you gave good examples. I just wanted to say that it's not nominative case and is correct for the instrumental case, not mentioning the others. The instrumental case (творительный падеж) - рядом с женщиной, подавившейся... Actually, this form doesn't work for the nominative case and the accusative case (вижу женщину, подавившУЮСЯ...). Thank you for the correction. I perceive the Russian grammar more intuitively and sometimes ignore certain things...
No problem, I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing anything because I had a lot of trouble with the cases at the beginning. Thank you for the explanation 😊
I only wonder how you managed these cases👍
I wonder too! One day they just clicked.
You've got the Russian bug :)
Some Russian mentality... Otherwise it's impossible to explain.
Yes I do. My Russian is definitely becoming more intuitive.
