I understood nothing from this sentence, though the words in it are known to me. Двухметровый взгляд is not an idiomatic expression, it doesn't even have sense to me, because weight isn't measured in distance.

I'm looking for the original text and can't find it. I thought that maybe you wrote something wrong and that is why I couldn't understand it. I remember that I stumbled upon it someday when was answering one of your requests to that book.

Hi Ruslan. I just posted something new - it is from the same book that I mentioned there. It is a very interesting, even more so, challenging read for me! No better crash course on the Soviet culture and idiomatic expressions than such a reading. But the character is so young, sometimes he speaks a confused language. You guys help here is very precious!
