что бы был акцент на "тем человеком"

grumblerpublicó un comentario hace 8 años

мне этот акцент непонятен, но вам виднее

Elena: SUCH A PERSON is fine, but not with WHO. You could say: In order to become such a person - an expert in demand. But even then, I don't like SUCH here. I think Russians overuse this word in English as it is. Here we would say THAT person.

Grumbler: (1) NO COMMAS BEFORE THAT, only before WHICH (2) it should be WHO, not THAT when talking about a person

Andrey is correct - also in English we stress the words THAT [PERSON], meaning a specific kind of person, as described in the rest of the sentence. It has become very popular in the States (and I recently saw it in a British movie too) to describe antisocial behavior, and then say "Don't be THAT GIRL (or GUY)!" For example: She shows up late at the party, she's already had five cocktails, she kisses the hostess's husband hello... ON THE MOUTH, she knocks over the punch bowl, she asks how much the couch cost, and on the way out she thanks the hostess "Thank you, Claire!"... her name is Beth! Don't be that girl... drink Red Bull! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAwqRwUtRvw

Thank you, Uly! You're right about "such". We even have a joke:
"How much? Such much?" -Да, such. - A-а, ты тоже из МИМО?"
(МИМО - Московский институт международных отношений)

Фраза запроса на перевод построена так, как по-русски не говорят.
