(1) My child brought home (yet/still) another/one more stray cat yesterday.
(2) I’ll have two blinis and three rolls, please. Oh wait - one more/(still/yet) another blini, if you would.

Uly, I made up those snippets because I questioned the fact that "another one" might not work in contexts like that.

That’s what I mean. This post has еще один without a noun after it.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I was assuming that we didn't know what Daria could've had in mind when she wrote her question. It might've been something that couldn't be translated as "another one" (like one of my snippets). Let's say a friend of her sent her a few movies and she wanted to write them something along the lines of пришли мне ещё один фильм. She knew the words "send" and "movie", but she didn't know ещё один. So after reading our comments, she might have an impression that they're all interchangeable and she has free rein to pick any. Say she will like "another one", so she will end up writing "Send me another one movie, please!"
