In such case I just see no sense in the whole sentence:(
How can we solve a problem just by asking ourselfes few simple questions?!
I can imagine such way of problems' solving in motivational psychology but I can't figure out what is the usefulness of asking simple questions in sphere of business and industry.
These weren't questions to ask yourself, they were questions to ask somebody else. The same person who posted this, posted the two questions.
Are your cleaners using eco-friendly products?
Is your packaging made from recycled materials?
Unfortunatly, the answer to these questions, Uly, will be No in the most of Russia. Though, I agree with you, Maxim, that the sentence lacks logic. Asking questions itself can't reduce the harm to the environment, it only MAY make business people start thinking about the problems.;)
It doesn't lack logic at all. What it's saying is that when choosing a product or a vendor, the company should ask these two very important questions to make sure that their priorities are the same. This is no different than a woman deciding that before she chooses her husband she is going to ask him: (1) Are you a heavy drinker? (2) Do you want children someday? In other words, it's a matter of vetting.
I'm ready to agree with you, Uly, in respect of the impact these question have on
environment. Following your logic, women asking the questions you posted later could prevent drinking problems and demographic crisis. I should admit there's some cause-effect relationship in both cases but, from my point of view, it's not that direct. Though, there may be some differences in mentality.
