Uly, why would you use "regional" here? I'd say "local" is the best choice. in Russian "местный" is something belonging to the region it is located in.

When we talk about food, we tend to use the word "regional" for the reason you yourself stated: "it belongs to the region it's located in." In fact, they just opened a restaurant in my neighborhood called The Regional
