умница. Все правильно: нет насморка, есть ринит; нет полноса, есть диарея; нет Оли, есть Olga
E A, я не совсем понимаю, вы пытаетесь таким образом оспорить тот факт, что treason не является "особенно супружеской изменой"? Do your homework :)
когда мы в разговоре, Оlga, говорим: "Он изменил ей", мы подразумеваем, что речь идёт не о государственной измене, а о супружеской неверности. Также, представьте, и в английском разговорном языке - He made a treason of Elisabeth не означает, в большинстве случаев, измены короне. Catch senses, not dreams. Пошёл делать домашку.
Dear E A, just so you know, when WE say in English "он изменил ей", we say "he COMMITTED ADULTERY" or simply "he CHEATED on her" and NEVER "he made a treason of her" (please also notice that there should be no article before "treason").
Your condescending tone is ridiculous, dear E A. You have no bloody idea what you're talking about but still coaching me 😄
Please also notice that when we say "do your homework" to an adult person we don't actually mean school homework, we mean that they have to study the subject or information in question carefully. But perhaps in your case you should do both 😂
EA: I don't know who you've been talking to, but if you told a native English speaker that somebody committed treason against his wife, or vice versa, they would look at you as if you had five heads. It's not only incorrect, it's bullshit. A person can only commit treason against their country. As Olga correctly pointed out to you, the correct term amongst couples is "adultery." You would do well to stop arguing and defer to someone who knows a hell of a lot more English than you do.
oh, now it's not just Olga, it's whole "Olgino". Hold tight uno el otro. El tontos unido jamas sera vencido😚
"Adultery is in most cases a theft in the dark. At such moments almost every woman betrays her husband's innermost secrets; becomes a Delilah who discloses to a stranger, discloses to her lover, the mysteries of her husband's strength or weakness. What seems to me treason is, not that women give themselves, but that a woman is prone, when she does so, to justify herself to herself by uncovering her husband's nakedness, exposing it to the inquisitive and scornful gaze of a stranger" (Stefan Zweig)
Dear E A, "treason" also means ПРЕДАТЕЛЬСТВО. That's exactly what Zweig means here: ADULTERY IS TREASON - супружеская измена - это предательство. But "treason" is NOT "супружеская измена". It's funny that you keep arguing even after a native English speaker with a degree in English linguistics told you that you're wrong. Is it that hard for you to accept that someone knows the language better than you? Isn't it better to stop arguing and actually pay attention to what people say? It's never too late to learn something new, especially when it comes to learning languages. And there is no shame in making mistakes, you know.
Plus there are tons of dictionaries and other resources where you can find all the meanings if you don't trust Uly and me :)
Olga, we should have learned our lesson with WS - some people are just here for the thrill of argument - it's not about language, it's about getting off on their own words. The bottom line is YOU CAN'T WIN, so don't waste your wonderful knowledge and experience. It's not worth it.
EA, you're absolutely correct. Husbands DO commit treason against their wives and vice versa :) Please continue to use that expression - you will sound grand.
Olga, dear, leave me alone. Save your trolling for your wretched pupils. This app is a funny pleasant pastime, not your mentally deceased confessions. Olga, please.
I suppose you're right, Uly. I just don't understand why some people prefer to stay ignorant instead of learning something new.
E A, honey, you can keep being an ignorant ass, I don't actually care. We've been dealing with little ignorant pricks like you for years here, you're not exclusive, baby. All I wanted was to help you understand the difference but if you prefer to stay illiterate it's totally up to you.
It would be fun to have a Skype chat with you though. We could record our session and then let people watch it. That would be awesome :) But we both know that you would never do that and we both know why 😄
