As a blog owner, I'm not a fan https://disqus.com/by/Liteblue_USPS_Gov/about/of third-party commenting systems. They look pretty, but they take your audience away from you. When you sign up for Disqus as a website owner (vs. as a commenter), you register your site in Disqus.
Even if IMDB does clean up their https://www.imdb.com/user/ur157215009/voting system and make their site more reliable, they still have the issue of extreme inflation. Back in the day when movies were less popular, a rating of 8 or 9 was common on IMDB. But nowadays people are voting for movies that are in the top 10% of all movies released in a given year.
