После выстрела, под действием возвратной пружины, затвор возвращается к стволу, на ходу захватывая новый снаряд (или патрон), вставляет его в ствол и запирает для нового выстрела.

Once the shot has been fired, the breech block is returned to the barrel by the back-moving spring, and while moving takes the new projectile (or cartridge) and inserts it into the barrel, then locking it for the new shot.

Ригель выдвинут из корпуса и зафиксирован - замок заперт, после чего ручка 36 замка вместе с кулачковым блоком 35 возвращаются в исходное положение принудительно или под воздействием возвратной пружины 54.
