Вы уж меня простите. Забыл написать про сленг.
Вообще это я в художественной книжке вычитал, начал искать и нашел, что есть и такое значение.
Вот примеры:
* "Legal wants this in writing."
* "A one-word oxymoron, when it comes to the profession called "legal". (See attorney, legislator, and conflict of interest. )
* "Our legal was unable to address it immediately on receipt."
* "KEEP CALM and CALL LEGAL!"
* "We'll have to pass this by Legal before we can publish it."
* "What does Legal say about it?"
Вот что по этому поводу говорит Native English Speaker:
"This is used in some offices. It starts as 'our legal officer' or 'our legal assistant' or something similar. Then, over time, people become lazy and it degenerates into 'our legal'. In my opinion it is not correct."
