SHARE someone’s fate

Are you saying that 'repeat' is absolutely incorrect?

'разделить судьбу' has two different meanings - "повтороить" и "разделить сейчас".
"Взрослый мужчина должен, стиснув зубы, разделять судьбу родного края."
"Она решила вернуться, чтобы разделить судьбу мужа"

Can you just add it?

I think all those scenarios are rendered by SHARE someone’s fate in English. Funny enough, when I googled “repeat someone’s fate,” the top hits were written by Russians translating the Russian phrase verbatim: https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&ei=UiOFXJ_3PIKgswWIqJS4AQ&q=%22repeat+someone%27s+fate%22&oq=%22repeat+someone%27s+fate%22&gs_l=psy-ab.3...1805207.1811476..1811843...0.0..0.137.2408.12j11......0....1..gws-wiz.......35i39j0i131j0j0i67j0i131i67j0i10j0i22i30j33i299j33i160.n7f5ARgZhPw

OK, corrected. On a closer look my example appeared to have Russian roots too.

This was an interesting question. Good job!

Needless to say, Alexander’s version is out of the question.
