Uly, is "to grasp a trend" never used?

I've never heard it and I would never use it, but then I'm not the end-all be-all of English. I certainly don't recommend it in the sense of taking advantage of a new trend in order to make money.

I just looked and there are lots of examples of it online, so people use it.
