No dice is "Не получится, без шансов". Нет, уж это извини - means the person has already done something or can do something else but is not ready to do this favour, it is said with some slight irritation.

Exactly - as in my little dialog above. The girl is sick of babysitting every time her sister has a date, so she says "Sorry, no dice! I have a life too, you know."

In other words, it means "forget it! I'm not doing this again!"

When this phrase is used in Russian it is understood that the person did some favour and not even once but he's not ready to go too far.

One person squeezes another petson - can you do this for me? and this? and this? and the other person agrees and then he understands this is too much and refuses in the end

Ahh, ok! Then it's not the same as no dice. You're right. In that case, we say, "Hold on, that's a bit much." -or- "Sorry, that's a bit much." We say this when the requests are one after the other and get to be too much. However, when the requests are repeated, and then you ask again, THEN we say "no dice." So in summary, "that's a bit much" means NO MORE, and "no dice" means NOT AGAIN.
