I'll arrive at the Baltic early in the morning, when the lark sings.

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario hace 5 años

Very good!

Tatiana Gerasimenkopublicó un comentario hace 5 años

Прибалтика is the Baltic states/countries. Shouldn't it be the Baltics?

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario hace 5 años

Oh yes! I thought it was the sea.

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario hace 5 años

In that case IN the Baltics

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario hace 5 años

So is it the Baltic or the Baltics?

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario hace 5 años

If this refers to the Baltic States, then it should be the BalticS.

Elena Bogomolovapublicó un comentario hace 5 años

This refers to an area in the Northern Europe along the Baltic sea.. You can't arrive in three countries at a time.
Прибалтика - это область в Северной Европе, соответствующая трем государствам - Эстонии, Литве и Латвии.

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario hace 5 años

I beg your pardon, but you can arrive in an area comprised by three countries.

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario hace 5 años

THE BALTIC is an adjective

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario hace 5 años

If you need a heart that bad, I’ll give you one on another translation. But this was a very interesting post please don’t ruin it with your translation.

Tatiana Gerasimenkopublicó un comentario hace 5 años

An area comprised by three countries - exactly!

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario hace 5 años

This isn’t the first time I come across the term the Baltics. I’ve been speaking English my entire life.

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario hace 5 años

You can arrive in Scandinavia which is composed of three countries.

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario hace 5 años

Elena, I see you have three hearts. I’ll give you a heart and Tatiana will give you a heart on another translation.

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario hace 5 años

Think of future learners.

Elena Bogomolovapublicó un comentario hace 5 años

Uly, only you and Tatiana are talking of hearts here. Look at my posts. I've never talked of or begged hearts on here.
If I'm wrong with the the Baltic, it's just not good of you to post my translation simply changing the Baltic to the Baltics.

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario hace 5 años

If you had posted the translation in the comments, I would’ve told you what was wrong with it and you could’ve posted it correctly the first time. But you’re so arrogant that you think your translations are valid the minute you put them in as a translation. You’re wrong!

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario hace 5 años

No it has three hearts, which is misleading to learners, and it’s wrong! That’s the bottom line!

Elena Bogomolovapublicó un comentario hace 5 años

It's you who are arrogant and don't stop bullying me.
Let me check with other natives and if they find my translation wrong, I'll delete it. You're not the only judge.

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario hace 5 años

And if they approve it, they need to go back to school. I don’t bully you, you bully the entire site. You don’t care about what you post on here and that pisses me off.

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario hace 5 años

And not just me.

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario hace 5 años

Let’s define arrogance... my arrogance consists of me wanting only the best quality of English for the people on this site and protecting them from misleading examples of bad English, which you’re so prone to posting. You can check on your native friends on THIS translation, but what of the hundreds of other where people actually thank you for them and you answer “you’re welcome 🙋‍♀️”! That’s the HEIGHT of arrogance. Especially when those translations are pointed out to you and you leave them anyway because by that time, they have a few hearts. When your translations are correct, I tell you. The last one I remember writing “spoken like a true native.” Tatiana, whose English is 50 times better than yours, has the humility to post her tentative translations in the comments because she’s careful about what she presents on here. She cares! You only seem to care about hearts. Otherwise you’d be translating into Russian, and LEARNING ENGLISH!!!

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario hace 5 años

Use a little psychology. She thought you were complementing her on the use of EARLY because that’s what she thought she wrote. It’s called a TYPO, not a mistake.

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario hace 5 años

BALTIC here is a mistake and it’s still up. Why attack Tatiana?

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario hace 5 años

Finally! That’s a whole day arguing and pleading with you to do the right thing. This is why nobody can stand you on here. That’s true arrogance! Do everyone a favor and use another site. You don’t bring anything to this one except archaic English and mistakes!

Tatiana Gerasimenkopublicó un comentario hace 5 años

Так вот с чего всё началось! (((

⁌ ULY ⁍publicó un comentario hace 5 años

Yep! She’s absolutely relentless.
