Правильно будет “do you mind...?” и вежливо “WOULD you mind...?” Например, обращаясь к соседу в автобусе: “Do/Would you mind if I open the window?” Вот в этом контексте никто бы не говорил “Don’t you mind if I open the window” так как это означало бы «А разве вас не бесит, когда я открываю окно?» (<— не имеет смысла)
