Почему тут без to "She had also lent him Quidditch Through the
Ages, which turned out to be a very interesting read."
а это откуда?
вообще "давать, одалживать, давать взаймы кому-либо" - lend to somebody
из Гарри Поттера
I can lend him my car= I can lend my car to him = I can lend it to him
( аналогично ведут себя другие глаголы двойного управления: give/send/pass/etc me the book = give/send/pass/etc the book to me
А есть полный список этих глаголов?
прямое дополнение, перввй вариант
With verbs that take an indirect object, you either (1) put the indirect object between the verb and the direct object: He gave/showed/lent ME the BOOK; or (2) if the indirect object is emphasizes, or with the weak pronoun IT, you can use the preposition TO: Give/show/lend it to me. However, if there's no such emphasis, then the pattern [verb] [indirect obj] [direct obj] prevails.
