I stumbled upon this pretty nice African proverb and I wonder what it's in other languages. I think it's originally a Nigerian proverb.

The English translation is:

"Not to know is bad. Not to wish to know is worse. "

in Spanish it is the same:

No saber es malo. No querer saber es peor.

Russian: Не знать плохо, не хотеть знать еще хуже. The same as english and german and maybe other languages
