thank you. So " ревную к (кому)" means "jealous (OF) somebody" , does "завидую " holds the same meaning ? can we replace "ревную" here with "завидую " ?

ревную к себе. да в английском ревновать и завидовать jealous но завидовать ещё и to envy. мы ничего не замещаем. Так как ревновать и завидовать это всё to be jealous.

Tix Mir, "to envy" and "to be jealous" are two different things, they are not the same and have different nature.
