IT’S (really) something else!

The way you wrote it, it doesn’t sound like an exclamation — it just sounds like “something different”. Also, we say IT’S, not IT IS.

Also, why not write SOMETHING? You won’t abbreviate IT IS, but you’ll abbreviate an important word in this phrase?

Вы действительно так по-русски можете сказать? Для меня это просто набор слов.

На русском я думаю, что вы говорите, что кто-то «тот ещё кадр». “Anna, you’re something else!“ Это может относиться к чему-то хорошему или плохому:

This cake is something else! 
[=it’s delicious]

Your brother is something else!
[= he’s such an asshole!]

- это нечто!
- это что-то!

Ну, а Михаил пусть говорит "это что-то с чем-то". В лучшем случае его не поймут, а в худшем подумают, что...

We also use in the sense of Ну ты даешь!
