That book is called Inside Reading (as a subject of study). However, in this post they’re referring to a section in the text called “Reading.” There’s a difference.

The only time we call something a “reading,” is when it comes from a meter or other device that measures something and gives an index - like a thermometer.

I don't argue. That's why I said "что, впрочем, неудивительно " in my first comment and "Ни на кого нельзя положиться " in the second.

I saw it and I don’t agree with it. A more correct way to write this would have been “The reading selection considers...” or simply “The Reading”

SEES means считает in this case and it’s quite natural
