Nastya, that translation is incorrect. Please remove it.

Alex, we say "in x hours" or "in so many hours." I think you should just use one x, and leave off the example with "6 hours," which is a little off-topic if the idea here is to learn how to say столько-то in English.

Better example: "Let's say your train arrives in x hours/in so many hours and you're an hour away from the station. How much notice would you need to make it to there in time to pick up your mother?"

My attempt: Допустим, ты ждешь поезда, который приедет через столько-то часов, причем ты находишься в часе езды от станции. какое время должны подавать тебе уведомления для того, чтобы успеть стретить вовремя маму?

*успеть Встретить...
Uly,
Your last snippet shows impeccable Russian!
As for my translation, after that example, I can assume the original implies "so many hours." However, I believe that most likely Oleg meant the typical English pattern for "через 5,6,7.... часов". Anyway, since the guy still hasn't said a word to clarify his point, I'm deleting my translation, and let him use what he got on here.

Uff, that was a typo! Thank you for checking)))

You should add your IN X HOURS - it’s very valid and common

Alex, you did it again!))) The post is about “x hours” but you used an example with “2 hours.”
