I feel

Igor Yurchenkoadded a comment 7 years ago

Jane Leshadded a comment 7 years ago

I feel it's against my principles

⁌ ULY ⁍added a comment 7 years ago

Jane's right: I FEEL it goes against my principles.

Igor Yurchenkoadded a comment 7 years ago

OK. let's try it in a more obvious manner. I think the correct sentence should look like "I never do anything I feel is against my principles"

⁌ ULY ⁍added a comment 7 years ago

Actually, I think it’s a joke. The person is saying that they are lazy by principle. “I never do anything because I feel it goes against my principles.”

Igor Yurchenkoadded a comment 7 years ago

well, it may be. it's just that my version requires less corrections. it's kind of Occam's razor

Anna Sevastyanovaadded a comment 7 years ago

I think that what was meant is "I never do anything what I feel is against my principles". Not sure about my translation to English.

⁌ ULY ⁍added a comment 7 years ago

Your translation is correct except that it should be “...anything THAT I feel...”

⁌ ULY ⁍added a comment 7 years ago

I think the person who posted this should clarify where they found it what the context is because either interpretation is possible.

Anna Sevastyanovaadded a comment 7 years ago

Thank you, Uly. That's the exact word I was not sure about.

⁌ ULY ⁍added a comment 7 years ago

You got it, Anna!

Anna Sevastyanovaadded a comment 7 years ago

Uly, what do you mean? As far as I know this expression means "You understood it". Did you mean that?

⁌ ULY ⁍added a comment 7 years ago

It means

⁌ ULY ⁍added a comment 7 years ago

You know it!

⁌ ULY ⁍added a comment 7 years ago

Jane Leshadded a comment 7 years ago

Anna Sevastyanovaadded a comment 7 years ago

⁌ ULY ⁍added a comment 7 years ago

⁌ ULY ⁍added a comment 7 years ago

Tatiana Gerasimenkoadded a comment 7 years ago

GOES against...
