Deprivation of life shall not be regarded as inflicted in contravention of this Article when it results from the use of force which is no more than absolutely necessary:

Deprivation of liberty for life shall not be imposed upon women, nor upon persons who have committed crimes at ages below 18 years, nor upon men who have attained 65 years of age by the time of adjudication.

Пожизненное лишение свободы не назначается женщинам, а также лицам, совершившим преступления в возрасте до восемнадцати лет, и мужчинам, достигшим к моменту вынесения судом приговора шестидесятипятилетнего возраста.
