"in the third year of the university" is unnatural

"third-year student" on its own is unclear - we usually state whether it's elementary school, high school or college/university.

algorithmic problem are those that call for an algorithm to solve a series of similar problems; algorithm problems are those that call for addressing flaws within an existing algorithm.
