Job I love¿
любимая работа
Comentário do autor
" В США вообще мало кто употребляет фразу «любимая работа», но часто говорят «хорошая работа», то есть высокооплачиваемая, с бонусами в виде бесплатной медицинской страховки, оплачиваемого отпуска и так далее. "

В Британии, похоже, употребляется my beloved job
А я думала cushy job - это непыльная работа, но необязательно любимая.
BELOVED (Am and Br) can be anything that you loved at first and turned out to be bad: “One of the worst experiences of my life was the day my beloved cat scratched me in the eye.”
CUSHY is what everyone dreams of having - a job with benefits, great coworkers, something you love, etc.
То есть, beloved job - это типа сарказм?
Either sarcasm or regret - you normally call it your beloved job AFTER you’ve lost it. You can only call BELOVED something that you already have, so if you were talking about a prospective job you hope to get, it would sound weird.
Uly, we call любимая работа the job we currently have and enjoy.
In that case, I don’t think we say anything, at least not something along the lines of “[adj] job”. You WILL hear people say things like “I love my life. I have a great husband, a job I love, a beautiful house...” or “I love what I do” or “a job most would kill for.” But if there’s a specific context and you can provide a snippet, I’ll shoot you some versions))
“When my boyfriend got sick, I gave up everything to be by his side; my apartment in the city, my dream job, my friends...”
-or- my cushy job...
спасибо!
