By the way, MAKE IT TO BE isn't quite idiomatic. There are three possible variants: (1) make it (2) make of it (3) make it out to be.
Thanks, I was in doubt actually, wanted to write "make it" at first... So all three of them have the same meaning - "делают его"?
Good instincts! Yes, they all mean the same thing in this context.
Also, if you're going to use "exactly the same as" you should say "exactly the same as WHAT adults…"
