Do you know this nice animal badger. Nothing' s wrong with it, right? Well, French don't think so. «Quel blaireau!» - «What a badger!» in French means «What a looser!». Poor litle badger....=)

Hi all

A friend asked me to translate a description of her house that she's putting up for sale.

It's a luxurious affair (in my eyes) and the description specifies "prestations de qualité" meaning that the building, its fittings and accessories are all top notch.

But what would be the equivalent used in describing prestige homes in the UK?

Thank you!

please, what is the difference between

Lief hebben - Ik heb je lief

Houden van iemand - Ik hou van jou

The both verbs mean "to love" and the phrase- "I love you"?

Bonjour,

Comment dire en anglais "une bonne", dans le sens blague.

En français, si on dit "Vous en voulez une bonne ?", on comprend de suite que ce sera une blague ou sinon une remarque sur quelqu'un qui soi étonnera soi fera rire.

Do you want a good one? La traduction littérale, c'est bon?

Merci,

Salut!

"She carries herself well.." Est ce que cette phrase veut dire "Elle se porte bien"?

Merci
