Elena: not your best work! The whole thing is unnatural to the point of being nonsensical.

AL: This wouldn't be so bad if it started with "The boss is..." instead of "Boss's." However, doesn't началсвто refer to management as a body and not one person?
Ok, clear (
Elena, does this word refer to the whole management body or just the one manager?
Uly, you're right, it refers to the whole nanagement
👍🏼
Uly, in this case "boss" is alright, it gives the right attitude. In russian we normally say that considering some particular person (when he or she is late, obviously), who is behaving exactly as a boss, not as a manager. If you catch the difference :)
I don't catch the difference I'm afraid. But I agree that also in English, "management" can refer to one person or to a body of people.
I have no problem with "boss," I just don't like "Boss's" at the beginning of the sentence.
The boss is the one on top of the social structure, sort of the king. Management refer more to the functional role, someone who is organizing the process. You say "my boss" to identify a person you obey in some way. When we say that in russian we mean the person who's behaving like a king (doesn't bother to hurry much, for example). The meaning "the boss is not late, cos he is just never in a hurry" is quite close
Ok, got it 👍🏼
