why necessarily adjective?

I agree with Grumbler, if there's an noun the encapsulates the quality with the bearer, why not? "I'm fun-loving and friendly" Я дружелюбный весельчак. (is that correct, Grumbler?)

In fact,Uly, it's a matter of context and taste. Your example can be translated as you did it, and also: Я ВЕСЁЛЫЙ и дружелюбный. I feel one uses the word "весельчак" not very often now, it's better to say "весёлый", "любит повеселиться". I found "смешливый" as well, but I'm not sure about it because смешливый means "the one easy to make laugh".

I think the best translation is probably любит повеселиться, because that's exactly what fun-loving means.
