How to translate? (en-ru)

What does "Устало, отдуваясь, вытирая лица платками, таща портфели, авоськи, екая селезенкой." mean? Thanks in advance.

It is a sentence without a verb and a noun, all the words here are in a gerund form (деепричастия). Ёкать/Ёкнуть (rare + colloquial verb) is used with a noun that names an inner part of the body (напр., У меня ёкнуло сердце как только я его увидел), and it means "to miss a beat". So the last gerund says that (somebody was doing something) with the kind of severe feeling in his spleen. There is also a bit of irony here because whoever wrote it, made it look like those people were the ones who ёкали (not the spleen itself - otherwise it would have been smth like "наши селезенки ёкали"), and like they did it consciously as well as they were carrying briefcases, and continuously (ёкали (not ёкнули) means that it happened continuously).
