We only refer to men’s breasts when we talk about one or the other, and usually in a medical context: All the men in Frank’s family have had breast cancer. -or- He developed a swollen gland in his right breast.

- посмотрите "Примеры из текстов" - и увидете, что breast - это вовсе не обязательно женская.
И вообще, не обязательно у человека. Например, chicken breasts.
А chest - это в первую очередь ящик. А у животных - грудная клетка.
