The fence that separated us from a restaurant premises(?) was taken down and we feel like we’re *on a public display* now.
But don’t tell me it’s something to the effect of “and it’s like anyone can see us now”.🤣

I'm having a hard time with the context. For instance, is it during wartime and now they're vulnerable? Or is it just that anyone can look in and see who's dining?
If the speaker is in the restaurant, how did the fence separate them from the restaurant?

Oops, my bad! I actually had in mind It’s the constuction site at the moment, and the speaker’s at home, upset that workers (and later their new neighbors) can observe their personal life.
But that’s not important now that we have those wonderful translations! Living in a water tank - I LOVE it!🤩🤩🤩🙏🙏🙏

Got it.
