Elena, the problem with your sentence is that EVENTUALLY doesn't sound correct with something that DIDN'T happen. We normally use it for something that DID happen at a future date from the point of reference: "He was arrested in 1963 and was eventually hung for his crimes." You could, however, start your sentence with IN THE END and that would make it more natural. Also, when something DOESN'T happen in the end, we use the negator NEVER: "I waited 30 minutes for them and they never showed up." "I fell asleep during the movie and never found out who the killer was." "I never heard her come in, so I didn't know she was home the whole time." Hope this helps :)

Absolutely (BTW, it wasn't me who disliked you)

ok:). It's really interesting what you explained about the word "eventually", I didn't know such a peculiarity

In other words: EVENTUALLY + DIDN'T = NEVER
