Контекст: Газетчик пытается купить у актëра кино компромат на одного из влиятельных спонсоров. Непонятно, "список ангелов" - это список актëров или список спонсоров, так сказать, "благодетелей", которые, если что не так - запишут в "черный список", и тогда считай, что актëр не жилец.

One more question, please. Does the word "angels" have some ironic connotation here or not? I'd like to translate it by "благодетели" that gives a bit of ironic to the phrase. Thanks!
