No, but TRAINING is what professional athletes do as part of their conditioning for competition. If this is just casual exercise/sport, then you can use WORKOUT if it’s exercise in a gym or even home, with or without weights -or- specify TENNIS/GOLF/SOCCER, etc. because TRAINING doesn’t mean the same thing in English as it does in Russian.

In Russian language word "Тренировка" is too broad and can be used pretty much for anything. While in English it is more specific - training, exercise, workout - all mean something different.
